The 4th ECOWAS Mining and Petroleum Forum (ECOMOF 2024) is taking place in Cotonou, Benin, from 22 to 24 February 2024. The aim of this regional forum is to promote the mining and oil sectors as a means of fostering the economic and social development of ECOWAS member countries.

Benin was chosen because of its significant mining and oil resources. The country has put in place policies to improve competitiveness and diversify investment, while respecting environmental standards and promoting community development.
